2022 Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM) week: “The Future of Entrepreneurship: Unlocking Africa’s Business Growth Potential,”

What is the future of entrepreneurship in Africa? How can we unlock Africa’s Business Growth potential?

The recently concluded Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM) week with the theme, “The Future of Entrepreneurship: Unlocking Africa’s Business Growth Potential” was an awakening of interest, curiosity and challenge in our MBA students. The programme inspired innovation among young African entrepreneurs and exposed participants to the required strategies for building innovative businesses in Africa. 

LBS hosted GNAM week from Monday, October 17 to Friday, October 21, 2022, with 31 MBA students and 4 international participants from Yale School of ManagementFudan UniversityUniversity of Oxford and Hong Kong University.

This year’s GNAM week featured insightful sessions led by globally renowned faculty, engaging workshops and activities including team bonding activities, factory visits, company tours, business innovation group presentations, group assignments, meet the CEO session, opportunities to explore challenges and opportunities facing African entrepreneurs in Africa and more.

Participants were also exposed to a number of case studies from some of Africa’s most successful businesses including Innoson Motors and Nike Art Gallery among others, strategic business models for start-ups, including tactics for innovating products and services, using technology.
