2022 LBS Entrepreneurship Contest

Seun Alley, Founder of Fez Delivery Co., emerged winner of the 2022 Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University Entrepreneurship Contest organised by the MBA department. Oluwaseun’s company received the first prize of N1,500,000.

Nine MBA students were selected to deliver a 5-minute pitch of their growth plan to investors. The finalists were:
Nnanna Alu MBA 19, Co-founder, OfficeAjo Technology Limited, a web application-based rotating credit and savings (ROSCA) platform.
Chinwe Nlemoha MBA 20 Co-founder, Gladem International School, using games to enhance students learning experience.
David Oyo Ita, Modular MBA (MMBA) 1, Co-founder, Adlantique, an ad-tech start-up.
Abiola Temitayo-Afolabi Executive MBA (EMBA) 27, Founder Abiolasgranola Ventures, makers of high-quality healthy granola.
Abiola Akinwole Modular MBA (MMBA) 1, Co-founder AKW Engineering Limited, a Real estate company that specialises in offering affordable housing by building modular homes integrated with smart power technologies from abandoned shipping containers.
Anthonia Oluwakemi Nnabuko MBA 20, Co-founder, AnthoMydeEmpire, producers of palm oil.
Glenn Judo MBA 19, Founder, Infamous by Glenn Judo Shoes & Accessories, makers of bespoke quality shoes.
Johnpaul Okoroafor MBA 20, Founder Cornfuse Technologies, a financial networking platform.

Alongside the first prize given to Seun Alley, the 2nd & 3rd prizes of N1,000,000 and N750,000 were won by Glenn Judo & Chinwe Nlemoha respectively. Consolation prizes of N100,000 each were given to other contestants. Abiola Akinwole received an investment deal from LandWey in addition to his consolation prize. The judges are also willing to invest in other pitched businesses.

The event also featured a panel session moderated by LBS Entrepreneurship Senior Faculty, Dr Henrietta Onwuegbuzie with top business owners - Ayilara Olawale – Founder, LandWeyBisi Adeyemi – MD/CEO, DCSL Corporate Services LtdDr Segun Adaju - CEO, Consistent Energy LimitedAdetutu Afolabi – Co-founder, HAZON HOLDINGS, MD/CEO Wellness Healthcare GroupOtunba Pradeep Pahalwani (Rotarian) - MD, SECURISK INSURANCE BROKERS (P) LIMITED.

The keynote address was delivered by GCEO, Ygroup Holdings Inc, and Fatumata Soukouna Coker, who spoke extensively on creating the pathway for sustainable business growth, “Within challenges there are opportunities. Leadership is an action, not a position. In building a business plan, you got to have a vision.”

LBS has a mission of building socially responsible leaders, and among other programmes, the annual MBA Entrepreneurship Expo and Contest is one of the ways it achieves this mission.
