Adaeze Oparaugo emerges winner in the Fourth LBS Mini-Keynote Competition

To improve the quality of public speaking skills on the MBA programmes, Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) society organizes the MINI-KEYNOTE COMPETITION in conjunction with business schools accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) to provide top-performing students from around the world with a unique opportunity to improve the quality of their public speaking skills alongside preparing them to take advantage of opportunities society offers.

LBS virtually hosted the fourth edition of the yearly mini-keynote competition on Saturday, October 22, featuring six candidates. One candidate from the Gordon Institute of Business Science(GIBS), South Africa and the rest are our MBA cohorts all ready for the final part of the competition to win a life-changing sum of money.

All candidates delivered their keynotes eloquently; Russian-Ukrain War: The Impact on Global Business (presented by Ijeweme ODIAWA), Navigating Multi-Generational Workplaces: The Rise of the Millenials & Gen Z (presented with great insights by Chinwe Nlemoha), Remote Work vs Working from Home: Critical Points to Consider (presented by Ezinne Okuku), Leading in a Recession: How Companies Can Build Resilience and Thrive (presented by Adaeze Oparaugo), Building Wealth in the Knowledge Economy (presented by Sifiso Dube) and The ROI of Diversity Hiring (presented by Dayo Falokun). Each candidate provided in depth details, employing creative storytelling tactics to keep the audience, especially the judges engaged. They also left a lasting impression so that they would have a chance to win the tantalizing cash prize.

The panel of judges consisted of top leading business executives, human resource professionals, and LBS Alumni all of whom were bestowed the power to decide who went home richer.

Following the judges' rigmarole, the suspense was finally put to rest with the unanimous declaration of our very own MBA student, Adaeze Oparaugo in 1st place as the winner! GIBS representative, Sifiso Dube and third-place finisher, Chinwe Nlemoha from LBS both received a significant sum of money, respectively.

We congratulate the winners on their outstanding achievement as well as other participants for making it to the final stage of the competition, also appreciating our judges for their significant contribution to the success of this year's mini-keynote competition.
