Promoting Education and Leadership Development in Africa: LBS-MINDS Scholarship Programme
Expand Your Knowledge and Build Your Network in Africa's Leading Business School

Recently, Africa Industry News reported on a trend amongst African professionals who are seeking to expand their skills and knowledge by acquiring new qualifications in other African countries. This trend is driven not only by the desire to increase expertise but also by the need to build networks and gain exposure to diverse cultures and perspectives.

To support this trend, the Lagos Business School (LBS) and MINDS (Mandela Institute for Development Studies) have formed a partnership to promote education and leadership development in Africa.

Through this collaboration, non-Nigerian students have the opportunity to study at LBS, one of Africa's top business schools, and gain exposure to the Nigerian business environment. The partnership offers scholarships to outstanding students who have the potential to become future leaders in their respective fields. The MINDS scholarship programme provides financial support for tuition fees, accommodation and other expenses to eligible students pursuing a Full-Time MBA at LBS.

The MINDS scholarship covers the cost of tuition fees, accommodation, and other expenses to support eligible students who wish to study at LBS, one of Africa's leading business schools. This scholarship allows African professionals to gain valuable knowledge, exposure to new cultures, and important networks that will help them succeed in their careers and contribute to the growth of an interconnected African economy. The scholarship programme enables African students to study in an African country other than their home country and in this way immerse themselves in the richness and diversity that the country and its communities have to offer. By broadening access to education, they see the expansion of openness of ideas and the creation of a network of like-minded leaders who will help promote the performance and tangible progress of our continent. There is no doubt that a more integrated African economy on a global scale will accelerate growth, generate positive outcomes, and benefit all its communities.

Applicants for the LBS-MINDS scholarship must first complete the admission process for the Full-Time MBA programme at LBS. After being accepted, they may then apply for the MINDS scholarship.

This scholarship covers tuition fees, accommodation and a stipend for living expenses.

Through the LBS-MINDS scholarship, students can access this top-class education and become part of a vibrant community of business leaders. LBS is renowned for its exceptional faculty, innovative curriculum and strong emphasis on ethics and sustainability. The Full-Time MBA programme is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the global business arena.  LBS is the first business school in West, East and Central Africa regions to be accredited by The Association of MBAs (AMBA). This puts LBS amongst the exclusive group of only 2% of business schools in 70 countries to achieve this accreditation. The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) has also accredited LBS, the first institution to be so recognised in all of West Africa.  LBS thus joined the league of less than 5% of business schools globally, to be accredited by AACSB in December 2016. This accreditation affirms Lagos Business School's commitment, over the last 30 years, to world-class standards in teaching, learning, research, academic and professional management. LBS has been ranked every year, since 2007 by the Financial Times of London, among the top global providers of open enrolment executive education and in custom executive education since 2015. The latter ranked number one in Africa on the 2020 Financial Times list. LBS’ MBA programmes have held Tier One positions on CEO Magazine’s Global MBA rankings for three consecutive years. The School is listed among the top 50 global business schools on The Economist magazine’s 2018 Executive MBA ranking.
